![]() Our results give some preliminary support to the appropriateness of MindUp program for pupils in other national or cultural contexts. It’s important to continue studying this program to confirm these results on children self-report. The increase of socio emotional skills and decrease of problematical behaviours are in line with other studies (Schonert-Reichl & Lawlor, 2010). Results revealed that at the end of the program children showed significant increase in self management, peer relations and academic behaviour and decrease in negative emotions, aggressiveness, hostility and disruptive behaviours. We recorded the results from teachers rating children through SSBS (Merrell, 2002) on social competence and anti-social behaviour. ![]() It was applied a pre post-test design with self and hetero report measures. We expect that students participating in MindUp will improve their socio-emotional skills, have less adverse affect and lower anti-social behaviours.Ģ05 children from 3rd grade classes participated in MindUp (15 sessions) delivered by their teachers. One of these approaches is the MindUp program (Hawn Foundation, 2011), a comprehensive classroom and evidence-based curriculum in which students engage in mindful attention training (three times a day).Īssess MindUp effects on children.
